Introduction

Do you enjoy being on the move and know your way around?
This job involves making deliveries out in the countryside, dealing with demanding but loyal customers, and a daily routine where every day is different.

If you’re reliable, hard-working and speak both Dutch and French fluently, we’d love to meet you.

Organisation

Our client is a Belgian company that has been in business for over 50 years, specialising in the distribution of plant protection products, fertilisers and horticultural equipment. It serves a professional agricultural clientele through several depots across Belgium. The company operates in the chemical sector (CP 116) and places particular emphasis on safety and service quality.

Function

  • Carry out deliveries in accordance with the daily schedule: to farming customers and internal depots (Flemish Brabant, Walloon Brabant and Hainaut)
  • Collect and load goods at the warehouse in the correct order before each departure
  • Driving a Class C lorry/van
  • Plan routes in advance: deliveries are made in rural areas, where access roads are sometimes narrow or unpaved
  • Handling goods during loading and unloading: 25 kg bags, 20-litre drums: by hand using the van, or using a pallet truck or forklift with the lorry
  • Warehouse picking + order fulfilment
  • Vehicle checks (self-check)
  • Ensure a professional and trustworthy relationship with customers during deliveries
  • Ensure that the vehicle is clean and in good condition at the end of the day
  • Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing goods in collaboration with the warehouse team

  • Technical CESS or equivalent experience
  • Professional driving experience is desirable
  • Technical skills
  • A valid Category C driving licence + Code 95 — essential
  • ADR certification: an asset (training available through the company)
  • Fluency in Dutch is essential: the majority of clients are Flemish farmers, and safety standards in the chemical sector (including regular audits) require clear communication in both languages
  • Good physical fitness: regular carrying of heavy loads (25 kg bags, 20 L jerrycans)
  • Familiar with delivery notes and transport documents

Qualities

  • Versatile: able to drive AND work in the warehouse depending on the day’s requirements
  • Reliable, punctual, organised
  • Ability to build trust with discreet and demanding clients (agricultural sector)
  • Plan ahead: know the route before you set off, especially in rural areas
  • Team spirit: all decisions are made in consultation with the site manager
