Introduction
Jobalto is looking for a sales assistant on behalf of one of its clients to join a bakery team.
Function
- Greet customers warmly and answer their questions about bakery products.
- Advise customers on the different varieties of bread, pastries, cakes and other products available.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Process payments.
- Pack baked goods and prepare takeaway orders.
- Keep the counters and the shop clean and tidy.
- Restock the shelves.
- Comply with health and food safety standards.
Prerequisites
- Previous experience as a sales assistant in a bakery or in the food retail sector (an advantage).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Ability to use a till system and handle payments.
- Ability to comply with health and food safety standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Fluency in spoken English is an advantage.
