Introduction
Jobalto is looking for a bakery manager on behalf of one of its clients to join the team in Wezembeek-Opem.
Organisation
As a bakery manager, you will be responsible for supervising the team and ensuring that operations run smoothly. You will work closely with management to ensure product quality and customer service. You will also be required to ensure that health and safety standards are upheld at all times.
Function
- Supervise, train and mentor the bakery team members.
- Plan work schedules and ensure that the team is adequately staffed.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene standards.
- Keep the workplace clean and tidy.
- Work with management to improve procedures and optimise the bakery’s efficiency.
- To provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as managing schedules, managing stock and preparing reports.
Prerequisites
Your profile:
- Fluency in French and a good command of Dutch (spoken).
- Fluency in English is an advantage.
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery.
- Ability to lead a team and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Flexibility regarding working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Offer
We offer:
- A temporary period followed by a permanent contract
- A full-time contract with flexible working hours
- Working hours: at least one day off per week; otherwise, mornings (from 5am) are preferred
- We would appreciate your availability on busy days (Sundays)
- Standard salary (€2,300 during training, then €2,500)
