Introduction
We are looking for a joiner/carpenter for one of our clients based in Nivelles.
Our client is a company specialising in the design and construction of timber structures: traditional timber framing, glued laminated timber, CLT and post-and-beam systems. They work on ambitious architectural projects, in close collaboration with architectural and engineering firms.
Function
Your role
At the workshop in Nivelles, you will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of timber structures:
- Cutting, planing, jointering and panelising timber components in accordance with the working drawings
- Assembly of walls and floor structures, in preparation for installation on site
- Installation of timber frame joints (mortise and tenon, connectors, bolts)
- Reading and adhering to the production drawings provided by the design department
- Occasional involvement in on-site installation work
Prerequisites
Your profile
- Training in joinery or carpentry (CEFA, IFAPME, EFPME or equivalent)
- Proficiency in workshop machinery: planer, jointer, panel saw
- Basic knowledge of timber framing or timber structures — previous experience is an advantage, but junior candidates are welcome
- Meticulous, able to work independently, and comfortable working in workshop and site environments
- A full driving licence is required
